Portrait of Cindy, Be Healthy Self Care coach

Welcome, I’m Cindy

Welcome to Be Healthy Self Care, a space for practical wellness education, restorative routines, personal growth, and a more peaceful everyday life.

With a background in education, leadership, and specialized somatic training, I bring teaching and coaching experience to helping people explore practical ways to reduce stress and cultivate greater peace.

My Journey to Greater Peace

My journey into wellness, personal growth, and somatic practices began long before I became a coach.

Like many people, I’ve experienced seasons of significant personal challenges, loss, and professional stress. Over time, I began to recognize how these experiences could accumulate, affecting not only my emotional well-being but also how I felt physically and responded to everyday life.

For many years, I continued moving forward, building my career, taking on responsibilities, and doing what needed to be done. But eventually, the demands of a stressful work environment, combined with years of accumulated stress, became increasingly difficult to manage.

I remember thinking to myself:

“I’ve got to do something. Something’s gotta give, or I need to quit my job.”

That realization became a turning point.

I began exploring somatic practices and developing a deeper understanding of the connection between the body, stress, and emotional well-being.

Through years of somatic training, coaching, and personal practice, I’ve learned to become more present in my body, recognize my responses to stress, and face life’s challenges with greater awareness rather than automatically seeking ways to escape uncomfortable feelings.

This journey hasn’t been about becoming perfect or eliminating life’s difficulties. It’s been about learning to respond differently, developing greater self-awareness, and finding more peace in everyday life.

Today, I bring together my background in education, specialized somatic training, and coaching experience to share practical approaches that can help others explore their own paths toward greater well-being.

I remain passionate about lifelong learning and believe that meaningful change often begins with small, intentional steps.

Because I know what it feels like to reach a point where something has to change.

Somatic Practices and Coaching

I completed the Trauma Healing Accelerated™ Mentor Training Program in 2022, with training led by Dr. Aimie Apigian. I subsequently completed Biology of Trauma® modules in grief and heart shocks (2023), letting go (2023), and attachment and neurodevelopment (2024). I also have approximately two years of experience coaching students in Dr. Aimie’s programs.

Education and Lifelong Learning

My educational background includes a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) from Simon Fraser University, a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Education (MEd) from City University.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Ministry and a Master of Business and Ministry through a double-degree program at the International School of Ministry (ISOM), with an anticipated completion date of April 2027.

I believe in lifelong learning and continually expanding my knowledge so I can bring fresh perspectives, practical insights, and meaningful guidance to the people I serve.

What’s Next

I’m developing a 28-Day Somatics & Peace Program designed around gentle body awareness, practical calming routines, and personal reflection.
